Fourth of July is quickly approaching and this year the holiday lands on Monday, making it a three-day weekend full of BBQ’s, fireworks and celebrations. The South Bay has become a destination spot for those looking to escape the summer heat and this year will be no different. With an array of activities going on around the Beach Cities this weekend for both party-goers and families, we wanted to narrow down some favorites:
Summer Concert Series:
2016 Summer of Free Music Concerts returns to the Redondo Beach Pier. The first concert will be on Saturday, July 2nd starting at 6PM. The concerts will run every Thursday and Saturday through September 5th, 2016. View the summer calendar here
Kiddos Pool Party:
The City of Manhattan Beach is throwing a Pool party for the kiddos at Begg Pool from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The cost is $5/per person 1402 North Peck Avenue Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
Independence Day Pool Party- Palos Verdes
Palos Verdes is having their 55th annual Independence Day Celebration at the lawn of the Malaga Cove School. There will be a kids bike parade, apple pie Contest, food and family games. This event is free to the public and starts at 9:30 AM on July 4th.
Salute to the Troops Picnic
The City of Manhattan Beach is holding their 2nd annual Salute To The Troops concert and picnic July 3rd, 2016 at Polliwog Park from 3 PM- 7PM. See a flag distribution by our local Boy Scouts and a National Guard Display. 1601 Manhattan Beach Blvd Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
Fireworks – Redondo Beach’s Seaside Lagoon
The Independence Day Celebration at the Seaside Lagoon will start at 2PM and will have lots of activities for kids and families. There will be food, beverages, arts & crafts, dancing, paddle board races and a kids parade and much more!
Fireworks at the Redondo Pier are a MUST SEE on the Fourth of July! It is one of the largest firework shows in all of Southern California. The show starts at 9PM and is visible from the Pier and Harbor areas.
Fireworks – Marina Del Rey
The Fireworks in Marina Del Rey are back in action! The show is set to music and begins at 9PM directly over the Main Channel and will go for 20 minutes. Fireworks – Torrance
Fireworks will take place at the Torrance Civic Center, Monday July 4th at 9PM. Seating will be available at the Torrance Sports Complex and the Los Angeles County Courthouse parking lot at Maple Avenue, North of Torrance Blvd.
